E5CN-HT

The Omron E5CN-HT is a compact and advanced programmable digital temperature controller from the E5CN Series, designed for applications that require high-precision temperature control with complex temperature profiles. With its 48 × 48 mm (1/16 DIN) size, it fits easily into space-constrained control panels while delivering powerful functionality typically found in larger controllers.

This model features a high-resolution 5-digit display with 0.01 °C resolution, enabling extremely accurate monitoring and control. The E5CN-HT supports up to 256 program segments (8 programs × 32 segments), making it ideal for processes that demand multi-step temperature ramping and soaking, such as heat treatment and material processing.

Equipped with universal sensor input compatibility, the controller works with thermocouples, platinum resistance thermometers, and analog current/voltage signals. Advanced functions such as PID auto-tuning, heater burnout alarms, and optional communication interfaces enhance reliability, safety, and system integration. The IP66-rated front panel ensures dependable operation in harsh industrial environments.

Although the E5CN-HT was scheduled for discontinuation in March 2025, it remains widely used in existing installations and is commonly required for maintenance, replacement, and legacy system support.
